AWElectric is a duet design that amplifies frisson and shares the thrill. Frisson is the feeling of aesthetic chills that arise from emotionally inspiring experiences. AWElectrics detects the sensation, animates it, and shares to another.
These wearable soft robotic fashions exhibit extimacy – externalized intimacy, as a series of biosensors visualizes breathing with pulsing illumination. When awe is detected, 3d print Goosebump Fractal, inflatable fabric and flickers to animate the feeling. Then, AudioTactile, conductive embroidered fabric plays the frequency to evoke goosebumps in the partner design, as it tickles the skin to make hair stand on end. Share the thrill!
